Browns Ranch Social Ride
The holidays are about fun and friendships so let's burn some calories and have some fun while we are at it. This ride will be at a social pace - all skill levels are welcome - I would suggest if you are in the mood for a hammer fest you might want to skip this ride, if you just want to have a fun ride at a chill pace and enjoy the cool, beautiful Sonoran desert then this ride is for you. The above said, this is not an easy ride per se - there are a few climbs and some rocky areas , but we we will NOT drop anyone , and everyone rides their own ride. We wait at all turns ! Optional pizza and beer on the patio at Rosati's afterward. Our route will take us around the perimeter of Brown's Ranch - from the parking lot we will take Hackamore, Cone, Upper Ranch, Corral , Hawknest, 136th St Express, Whiskey Bottle and Latigo. These are some of the most fun, flowy trails in the preserve there is something for everyone. There are numerous bail out points and trails are well marked should you not want to complete the entire loop. FIP @ 10:00 AM - I usually get there a few minutes before, look for a grey Subaru Outback with a bike / kayak rack on the top. RIDE LENGTH: 22 miles ALTITUDE GAIN : approx 800 feet RIDE DURATION: 3 hours TERRAIN: Compacted soil, some sandy washes, a few rocks DIFFICULTY: Beginner + HELMETS and WATER ARE MANDATORY. E-BIKES NOT PERMITTED For a great ride: * Bring a bike in good condition with tires suitable for riding on dirt trails. * You will need at least 70 ounces of water and bring snacks for fuel. What we're about

We welcome riders that are beginner+ which means you should know how to efficiently shift your gears, control your speed on a downhill and be in fairly good cardio condition.

The trails we ride tend to be more moderate, with fewer technical areas and are generally lower risk trails. They range in length from 15-25 miles per ride.

If you are a beginner rider, you should consider joining one of the groups in the east valley and if you prefer more technical, challenging rides you may look at AZ Mountain Biking.

We mountain bike for the outdoor experience, the thrill of riding and for the social interaction. Come and enjoy the outdoors, meet new people and have a great workout!
