Details

Welcome back to MunichJS!

We hope you enjoyed the summer time and are eager to continue embracing the JS community with another in-person event. We are happy to have a great speaker lineup at an amazing venue. We'll meet at the Constructor Academy offices in the Landsberger Str. 110 near Donnersberger Brücke.

There are only 50 seats - so be fast. However, if - for whatever reason - you cannot make it - please also cancel your attendance properly. Anyone not cancelling will not be permitted for future events (sorry to be so drastic, but we really want to ensure that everyone who can make it is also able to enter).

Thanks to Constructor Academy there will be food and beverages.

We'll open the doors at 6:30pm with the talks to begin at 7pm. Every talk is about 30 minutes long - we'll have 5-10 minutes between each talk.

Talks

7:05pm Jacob Groß:

INP – Yield patterns to keep the UI smooth

The latest Core Web Vital Interaction-to-Next-Paint (INP) measures how fast a website responds to input. In this talk, we'll take a look at why keeping INP low is important and how to optimize it through various new technical patterns that make the browser yield to the main thread.

Jacob is a Senior Performance Engineer at the website-builder startup Framer. Previously, he was a Principal Engineer at Jochen Schweizer mydays. He loves making the web faster and more accessible for everyone. In his current role, he optimizes Core Web Vitals (CWVs) for thousands of websites.

7:45pm Florian Rappl:

Picard.js - Painless Micro Frontends

OpenComponents, single-spa, SystemJS, Piral, Native Federation, Module Federation, ... the list goes on. What if we take the best of these systems and come up with a single library that allows you to "just" embed micro frontends? No tooling is required, and no constraints are implied. Just plain micro frontend orchestration.

Florian is a solution architect working on scalable web apps for smapiot. When he is not busy consulting clients or deriving some architecture he is maintaining one of his OSS projects on GitHub. It's all about the web.

8:25pm Gregor Biswanger:
