Mushroom Foraging Meetup

This is a group for people in the CT, NY, MA area who love, or are curious about, edible wild mushroom foraging.

This group is hosted by Mushroom Microfarm, We are mushroom farmers. We teach mushroom foraging, cultivation, and also do consultations. This is a group that connects mushroom experts with those who want to learn more about mushrooms outdoors.

We do not teach foraging outdoors but host those that do. This group is an opportunity for foragers, or aspiring foragers, to meet outside and for a mushroom expert to forage alongside you.

For those seeking foraging education, we have a course online and we regularly teach foraging classes in the community, often free of charge.

We offer seasonal walks. Locations will vary; either in public, where ethical foraging is allowed or at private locations, where we are able to forage with permission. We practice ethical foraging and prioritize the health of the ecosystem.

Bring what you would to a hike, plus a small knife, brush, basket or mesh bag, and foil or paper for a spore print. Or bring only your curiosity.
