Coastal View Hike, 6.5 miles/1130 ft gain, Out and Back (Down & Up)

This is a stunning out and back trek on the beautiful Coastal Trail. We will start from Pantoll and hike to Cardiac hill and then down the Coastal trail while enjoying the beautiful rolling hills and stunning coastal views. We'll hike all the way down to the road and back up. This trail has a little shade in the very beginning and end on the Old Mine Trail but is mostly exposed otherwise. Could be sunny and warm, or foggy and windy. Please be prepared and wear good sturdy hiking boots/shoes and bring poles if you like to use them. Bring water, and snacks if you need them. There are bathrooms at the parking lot and water fountains.
Parking at Pantoll is $8. The parking lot fills up quickly on the weekends and can be full by 8:30. If it is full, look for parking along the side of road, found BEFORE you reach the lot. You can also park at the Bootjack parking lot a half a mile down the road (also before the Pantoll lot). Please plan to arrive early to grab a spot, pay for parking and use the bathroom if needed. Please bring cash to pay at the station. Or if your phone has service, you can pay on your phone using Apple Pay (and maybe a credit card also but not entirely sure about that.)

Please have "boots on" and be ready to hike at 9:30. We don't tend to wait for latecomers.

For the safety and well-being of the group, please take into consideration the distance/elevation gain-loss and your own fitness level when signing up for a hike. As the group leader, I organize hikes but please note that I take no responsibility for your safety. If signing up for a hike, please agree that you are responsible for your own well-being. Sorry, no dogs. Please note that there's a 2 "no-shows" and last minute (less than 24 hours) removal from group policy.
