Cataract Falls via Rock Springs (5.6 miles/1348 ft elevation)

Hi Ladies,
Please join me on this beautiful waterfall hike! It will be fun to enjoy the waterfalls after the rain. This is an out and back hike. We will start the hike at Rock Springs trailhead, hike all the way down to the southern tip of Alpine Lake, then back up the trail.
The first half of the hike is mostly downhill, and the way back is mostly up. It may be a challenging climb for some, but very rewarding, as the scenery is beautiful. There is a chance of rain but we will be mostly in the woods and covered. Please bring your rain gear just in case.
The trail is steep and rocky in some parts. It may be a bit slippery, so bring poles if you like hiking with them. Wear good hiking shoes/boots, and bring waterproof layers, water and snacks if you might need them.
Total of 5.6 miles and 1348 elevation gain.
We'll meet at the Rock Springs parking lot. There are outhouses there, but no drinking water. Not really any bathrooms on the way. (There is one close to the beginning but it's pretty nasty.)
Please have "boots on" and be ready to go by 9:30am.
A little bit of rain will not cancel this event, but a lot of rain or dangerous conditions will. It is up to you to check this event page for any cancelations or changes.

As the group leader, I organize hikes but please note that I take no responsibility for your safety. If signing up for a hike, please agree that you are responsible for your own well-being. Sorry, no dogs. Please note that there's a 2 "no-shows" and last minute (less than 24 hours) removal from group policy.
