Angel Island hike to the top/North Ridge & Sunset loop. 5-6 miles, 850 ft.
Details
Hi Ladies,
Please read the details on this one because some pre-planning is required.
We'll meet at the Tiburon Ferry Terminal at 9:45am. The ferry to Angel Island departs at 10:00. Please arrive with your PRE-PURCHASED Round-Trip tickets from Tiburon to Angel Island ($18/adults & $17/seniors). You can purchase them here: https://angelislandferry.com/schedule. Please be sure to purchase the Saturday, March 28 at 10:00 am tickets.
We will take the Sunset and North Ridge Loop hike and include a hike to the top. It's 5-6 miles depending on some optional detours, and about 800 feet elevation gain. It's full exposure with little shade, so please bring sun protection. There is poison oak so dress accordingly. Wear layers, as it could also be cold, windy or foggy. Please bring plenty of water and snacks if you need them. We will take a short break at the top where there are picnic tables. Weather permitting, we will have great views of the entire bay!

Restrooms: There are restrooms in Tiburon at the ferry terminal as well as right in Ayala Cove when you disembark from the ferry.
The plan is to take the 1:20 Ferry back from the Island to Tiburon. The ride is only 15 minutes.
Speed:
Please note that we hike at about 21-25 minutes per mile (sometimes 22/23) on average, even while going up and down. We don't rush but we also don't take a lot of breaks. We make bathroom, water and short snack breaks and sometimes take a photo or two. We stop at junctions to make sure we're all together. If it's a longer hike, we may stop for lunch and that will be included in the hike description above. Please know your fitness level and be sure you can keep up. If you are significantly slower, you will be asked to turn around or hike on your own.
Elevation:
If the elevation statistics means nothing to you, think of it as:
1000 feet of elevation gain = ~100 flights of stairs.
Please look at the stats and know what you're signing up for and that you have the fitness level required for the hike.
REMINDERS:

Sorry, no dogs. Please note that there's a 2 "no-shows" and last minute (less than 24 hours) removal from group policy.
