CYCLING ADVISORY:
all participants are required to abide by the following rules for every MBG events during this time:

Cycle in a group of up to 10 persons.
-
Maintain at least 3m from another cyclist and avoid his/her slipstream.
-
Each Group should keep at least 10m apart from another Group. With increasing speeds, please increase the safe distance between Groups to avoid their slipstream.
-
There should not be mixing among Groups and do not merge with other Groups during ride
-
Maintain a safe distancing of 10m between Groups at Traffic Lights
5.This is a leisure and revitalising ride. Rolling speed on flats 18 to 22 Km/hr. For strong riders who are joining this ride, please bear with our speed as we will try as much as possible to ride together as a group. Riders joining this ride must have experience riding on roads.
• Ride Grading: 2.5 (easy 1 - 4 very strenuous)
• Terrain: PCN/Road Tarmac
• Bicycle type: Any
• Pace: 18 - 22 km/hr rolling on flats
• Cycling distance: 30 km
The first part of the ride is to revitalise our mind after a week of work and prepare ourselves to enjoy the weekend ahead. Please keep a single line along Old Upper Thomson road and as we ride leisurely along this stretch - 18 km/hr, enjoy the tranquillity and quietness of the surroundings. There are 2 slopes leading to Upper Peirce Reservoir Park which you can ride at your own pace. Great photo opportunity at the 3 reservoirs stop points.
The second part starts after Seletar Rocket Tower which we will do a bit of workout before we reward ourselves at Blk 532 AMK.
Safe riding is our priority and we will have a safety brief before the ride.
The ride ends at Bishan Park.

Bishan Mac > Bishan/AMK PCN > Old Upper Thomson Rd > Lower Peirce Reservoir Park > Photo Session > Old Upper Thomson Rd > Upper Peirce Reservoir Park > Photo Session, Toilet Break & water refill point > Old Upper Thomson Rd > Upper Thomson Rd > Mandai Rd > Mandai Track 7 > Seletar Rocket Tower > Photo Session > Mandai Rd >Upper Thomson Road>back to Bishan Park.

Important Safety Instructions!

Follow traffic rules. Stop at red lights.

No overtaking on left.

Only overtaking on the right and check blindspot/traffic on your back before executing.

Ride in a predictable manner and keep to your lane

Keep 3 meters (safe distancing) length from front cyclist.

No sudden emergence braking if you drop something.

Do not ride or stop beside tipper truck or bus. Always stay behind big vehicles.

Show the different Hand signals

Echo or signal hazards to the cyclist behind you
-
No helmet no ride!
-
Night Rides must have rear red lights and front lights.
