In January of 2007, Jane L. Landon joined New York City Department of Finance as Deputy Commissioner & Chief Information Officer (CIO). The Department of Finance is responsible for collecting city revenues. As CIO, Jane is responsible for all systems and technology supporting the Agency’s 17 Divisions.

Prior to joining the Department of Finance, Jane was the General Manager and CIO for Microsoft’s WW Public Sector, where she was responsible for process and technology supporting that business segment. Prior to this position she was General Manager of .Net Market Development. She and her team were responsible for developing .Net’s market presence, in the Fortune 100 and Global 100 enterprise customer market place.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Jane was with Prudential Financial, where she was the CIO for the Prudential Institutional Division. In this role Jane was responsible for all systems and technology that supported the six businesses in the division. Prior to this position she ran all new application development for the Retail Insurance Division at Prudential. Jane has also held key technology positions at Bankers Trust Company and Chase Manhattan Bank, NA.
