How to Analyze Big Data to Understand User Behavior and Increase Retention

Free T-Shirts & swag, beer & drinks, junk-food & more!

• CoolaData, CEO & Co-Founder, Tomer Ben Moshe

• Coca-Cola, Director of Enterprise Architecture, Bill Maynard

• Appjolt, CEO & Co-Founder, Eyal Yechezkell

During this talk you will learn how to get to know your customer's behavior, both online and offline, and when dealing with multiple data sources across multiple channels. We will also focus on Behavioral-analytics, the "secret" to learning from your data via analysis that turns your information into a representation of user behavior.

The discussion will guide you through the querying process and share techniques on how to simplify these procedures in a big data environment. We will also discuss mobile application "churn" (user's attrition rate) and correlate it with user behavioral trends and discuss real-world case studies of how Coca-Cola manages to stay ahead of the game with their advanced data technology using activity streams and the commercialization of that data.

CoolaData's CEO, Tomer Ben Moshe, spent several years at Amdocs (NYSE:DOX), where he co-initiated and served as SVP, COO of Amdocs Cloud Services. Before Amdocs Tomer was the CTO of Microsoft Israel, where he worked closely with software vendors, startups and the developer community.

Coca-Cola's Director of Enterprise Architecture, Bill Maynard, is a deeply experienced professional who has worked with multiple Fortune 100 companies and their executive leadership to develop and implement transformational business, technology and organizational initiatives focused on bringing value to the business. Extensive enterprise architecture experience concentrated on consumer based platforms and systems integration leveraging service oriented architecture principles and evidence based architecture design as a foundation for creating solutions that deliver measurable results.

Appjolt's CEO, Eyal Yechezkell, is serial entrepreneur who has built numerous products and services from concept to market and successfully marketed them using various online and mobile channels. Eyal is currently devoting the majority of his time working on Appjolt, a new proprietary mobile advertising platform that will cater to mobile application developers looking to re-engage their app users and maximize their revenues.

disappointing, I wish there was more substance to the presentation than a huge sales pitch.

Good point. But your company will not survive if you do not have customers. Most tech dreaded sales, nothing new.

Interesting topic. Not much technical stuff but it's good for beginners like me.

100+ people attended, what is not to like?
All tech talks are boring, no matter who presents it.
    What is your issue, Jay?

The fact that Coca-Cola is using their software is impressive.

The presentation was very interesting, and relevant to my work. The only problem is that it was a little difficult to hear from where I was sitting.

I didn't receive an email but the app indicates that I RSVP'ed. Is that fine? Also, is there any place where I would indicate if I was bringing a friend or two?

Just want to confirm whether or not there's a fee. I haven't found any pricing so am assuming this event is free to attend.

    • Jules

Yeah been wondering the same thing. I assume it is free.

      July 16, 2015

    • Eric David B.

      Yes, it is totally free!

What's the difference between a retention rate and cancel rate? E.g. at the business and/or maths level?
