What we’re about

You are not alone. We welcome you to our warm, inclusive, encouraging community. Did you know that 1 in 5 adults live with symptoms of depression, anxiety, PTSD and other mental health diagnoses? If you, or someone you love, are having uncomfortable symptoms, we are here for you. Our hope is to bring about positive change in the lives of those affected by mental illness. We offer a variety of free events designed to support, educate and decrease stigma surrounding mental illness. Please join our trained NAMI volunteers in

NAMI programs are designed for those over 18. Events on this page are for those experiencing mental health symptoms. Please contact NAMI in your location for events designed for family members and loved ones.

We began as the Bloomington, Indiana, affiliate of NAMI--the National Alliance on Mental Illness, although now we accept online group members from many locations. First conceived in 1978 by a group of people around a kitchen table, NAMI is now the nation's largest grassroots organization dedicated to building better lives for millions of Americans affected by mental illness. NAMI does not collect fees from this page: this is a FREE support group. Please do not donate to this page. If you feel led to support NAMI financially, please contact Jill at
