Mountain Home Inn to Mount Tam Pancake Breakfast Hike 🥞

Join Napa Valley Hikers for a special hike with a pancake breakfast at the top! 🥞

We start our hike at the Mountain Home Inn on Panoramic Highway, and walk 1.5 miles uphill to the West Point Inn. This is a family-friendly adventure with a moderate hike entailing some climbs and uneven terrain. The walk is approximately 1 hour up the Hog Back, Matt Davis, and Old Railroad trails for a total of 900 ft elevation gain.

The historic West Point Inn is accessible only by foot and is a living, working, gas-lit Inn built in 1904 when steam trains once climbed the mountain. The railroad is gone now, but the Inn remains a haven for hikers and a monument to the rich heritage of the region. From its broad porch, you can enjoy your breakfast and a breathtaking, 360-degree views of the East Bay, San Francisco, the Marin Headlands and Pacific.

• 🥾 Trail: Mountain Home Inn to Mount Tam East Peak (This is not the exact trail but it's close enough to get a feel for the route)

• 🚙 Parking: There is no charge to park your car at the Panoramic Highway parking lot across from the Mountain Home Inn or at the parking lots near the Cushing Memorial Amphitheater.
• 💵 Cost: The Pancake Breakfast is $13 for adults and $8 for youth payable at the Inn - CASH ONLY.
