WEATHER: Bodega Bay, CA 10-Day Weather Forecast | Weather Underground

The weather is heating up so it’s time to head out to the coast. Join us for a 12.5 mile loop from Salmon Creek along the cliffs of Bodega head for some spectacular ocean views!

Starting from the South Salmon Creek Beach Parking Lot we head south and eventually pick up the trail network along the bluffs on the west side of Bodega Head. After heading down to the southernmost point of the peninsula we then loop back on the other side, overlooking Bodega Bay, back to our starting point.

This will be a joint event with the Sea and Mountain hiking group so we're limiting it to ten attendees this time around.

DETAILS

  • MEETING TIME: 8:30 AM, since this small (and free) lot fills up fast on weekends (and there is no nearby street parking). We will depart promptly at 8:40am.
  • MEETING SPOT: South Salmon Creek Beach Access parking lot - 116 Bean Ave, Bodega Bay. We will meet by the restrooms.
  • RESTROOMS: At the start and finish of the route, and at several locations along the route.
  • GEAR: Bring plenty of water and snacks. Dress in layers - we'll probably have some AM fog and an ocean breeze, but almost all of this route is exposed to the sun. Poles may be useful.
