Beat the Heat: Annadel Shaded Loop, 12m
Details
DIFFICULTY: Moderate
DISTANCE: 12 Miles
ELEVATION GAIN: 1700 feet
PACE: Probably around 20 to 30 minute miles depending on conditions
WEATHER: Santa Rosa, CA 10-Day Weather Forecast | Weather Underground
Yes it's August and yes it's hot outside. But this long Annadel loop is in full or partial shade about 80% of the time. And I've designed this route to cover the most exposed areas early in the morning.
Starting from the Cobblestone Trailhead we head south along the Cobblestone, Spring Creek, Marsh, Live Oak, North Burma, and Warren Richardson trails, past Lake Ilsanjo and looping back to our start point.
This will be a joint event with the Sea and Mountain hiking group and parking may be a challenge, so we're limiting attendees this time around.
