Tom Long's Paddle fr. Marco Island-Jolley Bridge (Bear Point) to Tigertail Beach

I apologize for posting this so late, but I just made up my mind to do this trip on Sunday, Oct 12, starting at 10 AM.

It's a three hour paddle on a mild fall day. Paddling from the launch out the Big Marco River to inside TigerTail Beach. If possible, portage across the beach and come back on the Gulf side. Not launching until 10 AM in order to catch the tidal current going both directions. Will probably take the leisurely route on the way out to TigerTail, following the shoreline on the southern exposure of the Isles of Capri.

BTW, that photo I provided is of white pelicans on the beach, there, last New Year's Day. I doubt there will be any of them there on Oct 12.

We'll meet at Bear Point Canoe & Kayak Launch. If you're driving towards Marco, it's on the right on Collier Blvd, just before the Jolley Bridge. So, that's the north end of the bridge on the west side. Bring water, bug spray, sunscreen and yo' badsef.
