We invite you to join us on Sunday, December 7, 2014, for K to College's California Volunteer Event. We will help assemble more than 10,000 school and dental supply kits for homeless and other low-income children across state.

What is K to College?

K to College is the story of a humble nonprofit that evolved from a few UC Berkeley college students’ laptops and a borrowed pickup truck into the largest effort of its kind in the nation. Centered on the goal of providing disadvantaged children with the tangible resources they need to achieve, K to College operates a sophisticated charitable distribution program that reaches tens of thousands of homeless and other low-income school-children.

Since 2010, K to College has distributed more than $14,500,000 of grade-appropriate school and dental supply kits to more than 230,000 students in more than 100 California school districts. Targeting public school students identified as homeless under the U.S. McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act and other children enrolled in the subsidized meal program, we partner directly with school districts to ensure we reach those most in need.

Be sure to dress comfortably. Volunteers will be provided with a free t-shirt and refreshments.
