If your idea of a great vacation is turquoise water, barefoot days, easy sailing, beach bars and no need to rush anywhere, the Abacos are hard to beat. I’ve sailed these islands for years, and this trip is all about the laid-back side of the Bahamas — beautiful anchorages, small island communities, swimming off the boat, exploring by dinghy and plenty of time to simply relax.
This is a great trip for midlife travelers, solo travelers and couples who enjoy meeting new people but don’t want a packed itinerary or a big-group tour. We’ll sail aboard a newer 46' luxury catamaran , with comfortable double cabins and private en-suite bathrooms .
🌴 Marsh Harbour
⛵ Man-O-War Cay
🌺 Hope Town & Elbow Cay
🐚 Little Harbour
🏖️ Tahiti Beach
☀️ Baker’s Bay
⚓ Quiet anchorages and hidden coves
🍹 Local beach bars and island restaurants
Expect warm turquoise water, daily opportunities to swim, easy island exploring and plenty of time aboard with a good book, a cold drink or new friends. Our private cook/hostess will prepare breakfasts and a mix of lunches and dinners aboard. We’ll also head ashore for local restaurants — and there will definitely be opportunities for fresh conch salad, conch fritters and a Bahama Mama or Goombay Smash.
### $3,875 per person
Double occupancy with private en-suite bath. Very limited cabin availability for this sailing.
A few months before departure, we’ll get together on Zoom with your fellow crew to go over trip details, logistics, packing and what to expect aboard.
Included
Professional captain • 7 nights aboard • Cook/hostess • Breakfasts and some lunches or dinners • Welcome cocktail gathering • Linens and towels (separate bedding pp for shared double cabins) • Dock, port and cruising fees • Mooring kitty, ice and water • Vessel and damage-waiver insurance
Not included: airfare, land accommodations, personal travel insurance, most restaurant meals, alcohol and specialty foods.
Our midweek departure can mean better-priced flights and a quieter charter base. We skip much of the busy weekend boat turnover, making for an easier and more relaxed start to the trip.
Plan to arrive in Marsh Harbour one day before boarding. That gives you a cushion in case of airline delays and helps make sure you’re there when the boat departs.
✈️ Fly directly into Marsh Harbour, Bahamas (MHH). You do not need sailing experience, but you should be comfortable getting in and out of a rubber dinghy.
If a week of swimming, sailing, island hopping, good food and easygoing company sounds better than dressing up for dinner every night, this may be your trip.
Come sail the Abacos with us. 🌊
