This talk is about understanding these limits through systemic load testing. We'll progressively increase load to find bottlenecks, interpret meaningful metrics, and make informed decisions about when to optimize code. You'll learn how to establish performance baselines, identify capacity limits, and confidently plan for growth.

About the speaker: Heather is a Developer Advocate at Gatling that enjoys building content and community around making performance testing approachable and essential to teams. Her perspective is shaped by four years as a software developer (after attending Nashville Software School) followed by three years advocating for DevOps best practices. She's an international speaker, with roots in Nashville, that enjoys comparing theory with reality of software development lifecycles, using practical examples and analogies. Her goal is to give engineers different perspectives that will build the confidence they need to make performance a core part of their workflow.
