Description: Psychic is an opinionated, open source, TypeScript web framework inspired by Ruby on Rails but built for modern web applications. For example: OpenAPI specs are generated automatically from implementation, and that same process results in automatic fast-json-stringification. Psychic leverages Dream ORM for magical types and deep DRYness (database field types are declared once, in a migration, and flow through the entire app, including i18n and, via the OpenAPI specs to the front end).

While relatively new to the world, Psychic and Dream are mature frameworks with deep developer ergonomics cultivated from over two years of use in production applications.

This talk will give an overview of Psychic and Dream and then demonstrate how to build a Psychic application from scratch.

About the speaker: Daniel is a co-creator of applications and technical co-founder of small companies since 2003 (Implications Wheel, CrowdAbout, Populr.me, PlateJoy). He has been building Psychic and applications with Psychic for RVO Health since March of 2023.
