Welcome to the Nashville Social 30s-40s group! I know it is kind of a boring name... but I promise that will be the only boring thing about this group! I'm an experienced Meetup host but new to Nashville. Whenever I move somewhere new, I love researching and creating a bucket list of all the quintessential experiences to have in the area. I've got a list started and am excited to start adventuring!

We've had a blast trying a variety of Arts & Crafts this time, we're returning to GlassvilleTN to try Fused Glass 101!
ABOUT the class:
Come spend a couple of hours playing with color, texture, and glass! In this relaxed, hands-on fused glass class, you’ll design your own bowl, plate, or candle holder using colorful pieces of glass. We’ll walk you through the basics, help as you go, and make sure you leave feeling proud of what you created. No experience needed, just bring your ideas. We’ll kiln-fire your piece after class, and it will be ready for pickup once it has been fired.

ABOUT the artist:
Martha Morales Purucker is a fused glass artist with a love for creating and sharing the beauty of glass in its many forms. From the vibrant streets of Mexico City, where she was born and raised, to the creative heart of Nashville, her journey as an artist has been as colorful and diverse as the glass she work with.
Her artistic journey began in 2014 when she discovered the fascinating world of Kiln-formed glass. Since then, she's had the privilege of learning from some of the most talented glass and mosaic masters, honing her skills in various techniques. Whether it's the delicate art of stained glass, the intricate patterns of mosaics, or the dynamic forms of fused glass, each piece she creates is a reflection of her passion and dedication to the incredible medium. Her art is more than just a personal expression—it’s a way to connect, teach, and build a community. In 2022, Martha co-founded a business that has since evolved to what is now a solo venture—Glassville—a teaching studio where she can share her love for glass art with others. The studio is more than just a place to learn; it’s a vibrant community where creativity thrives, and everyone is encouraged to explore their artistic potential.

Dining Around Town: Casual Chain Crawl @ Zaxbys
Zaxbys, 1902 Charlotte Ave, Nashville, TN, USFor 2026 we are introducing a new category of our popular Dining Around Town Series called... Casual Chain Crawl with Cristina!
Since this group began, we have consciously tried to avoid be chain restaurants in favor of supporting small and local businesses. However with such a multicultural group, it is not surprising that multiple members have expressed interest in checking out some of the most popular American chain restaurants as a cultural dining experience of sorts.
One of our most passionate members, "Italian Cristina", has volunteered to host this series and has researched and hand selected the locations which are all over the greater Nashville area.
