Did you know... according to an article published by Higher Perspective, one of the best ways to make yourself feel happier is to help others. In fact, 100 hours per year (or two hours per week) is the optimal time we should each be dedicating to helping others in order to enrich our own lives.

What better way to help others than by volunteering?

This time, we are going to help… BUILD THE FORGE!

What is The Forge Nashville?
Founded in 2012, the Forge Nashville is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization located in a 23,000 square foot facility in the Railyard District near the Cumberland river. The Forge offers a massive makerspace, wood and metal shops, art gallery, private creative offices, and artist studios geared specifically for the artisans and creative misfits of Nashville.

In our aim to serve the greater community, The Forge focuses on not only a wealth of resources for any aspiring creative, but also on offering opportunities to the underserved. Our youth initiative, Forge Future Makers, gives at-risk youth the chance to discover their potential through hands-on making. For fine artists in need of studio space, we are proud to offer Nashville’s only program of its kind, STATE Gallery + Studios. For hopeful small business owners who wish to turn their hobby into a sustainable income, we have a curriculum of business classes and subsidized shop space for those in need.

No matter your creative medium, you can find resources and a vibrant community at the Forge. We support artists by offering access to professional equipment and classes, affordable work space, scholarships, public and private events.
