About us
The Nashville Sync Meetup is where music creators and sync professionals connect — in person and online — to sharpen their understanding of how sync placements actually work and how to position their music to be part of them.
Presented by the Helping Music Foundation and HOME — Helping Our Music Evolve, this group hosts a rotating mix of events built around the realities of sync licensing today.
Some months feature in-person gatherings at HOME's East Nashville facility with a guest from the sync world — music supervisors, publishers, sync agents, and licensors who have spent their careers on the other side of the brief.
Most months feature virtual Sync Deconstruction sessions, where a real placement is broken down from top to bottom and members bring their own tracks for feedback grounded in what the deconstruction revealed.
Whether you're new to sync or building a working catalog, this group is where the conversation happens honestly. No trend-chasing. No panels rehashing the same advice. Just working professionals talking about what actually gets songs placed and how creators can move their music closer to that outcome.
In-person events are open to the public, ages 21+. BYOB welcome. Virtual events open to the public to watch; HOME membership required to submit music.
HOME is a 24/7 collaborative music hub in East Nashville with recording studios, rehearsal space, a live performance stage, and coworking areas.

Meet My Music: Virtual Studio Hang & Sync Deconstruction
·OnlineOnline>> Sync isn’t guesswork. There are patterns. There are decisions that move the needle.
This session is built to help you see them... and use them.
In this two-part experience, Mimi McCarley will guide creators through a hands-on look at what makes a sync placement work and how to sharpen your own music with sync potential in mind.>> Part One: Sync Deconstruction
We’ll break down a real sync placement from top to bottom. Arrangement, tone, dynamics, lyrics, tempo, mix. You’ll hear what mattered most and why it landed. Learn what serves the scene, supports the story, and earns the placement. No trend-chasing required.>> Part Two: Member Track Workshop
Active HOME members only, this is your chance to bring a song in progress. Something you think could work for sync. We’ll listen, dissect, and offer feedback grounded in what we just learned. The goal is creative clarity: shape your song into something placement-ready.>> Register and RSVP if you want to:
- Observe the sync breakdown and learn from real-world examples
- Understand what supervisors and licensors are listening for
- Watch how songs are reshaped in real time to better fit the brief
Only active HOME members can submit music, but the session is open to the public. For security purposes, everyone must register through the Zoom link.
Please RSVP and join this event HERE.
