Mission Statement:

NUX is Middle Tennessee's official source for User Experience (UX):

Support, promote and teach UX, including experience strategy, content strategy, information architecture, interaction design, user interface, and usability;

Advocate for the value of UX to customers, business, developers and other audiences

Foster professional networks through social and educational events

What is user experience?

UX or User Experience is everything the user of an app or site touches, sees, clicks, taps, and experiences; where user goals meet business goals.

UX managers and hands-on leads strategize with business and product teams to define strategy, and work with implementation teams to deliver solutions.

UI stands for User Interface, which is the screen or surface a user sees and interacts with. UI comes from the UX and product strategy; UI is the tangible output.

This August, Faith Magras will be joining us to talk about how people see UX designers and how we can help UX designers in our own companies. We will be watching a video and discussing afterwards.

Faith Magras the owner of Metazu Studio. Metazu Studio is a video production, AR/VR, and web development company. I have done video production and video editing for companies here in Nashville putting together promos, training, and commercial.

Faith is also a board member of Girls in Tech (GIT) Nashville Chapter and co-leader of Internet Explorer (ask Faith for more details!).
