Directions: Sagtikos/sunken Meadow pkwy. north to the park, go through toll booth and park in lot 1 on the right. We meet by the office in the main building.

Most visitors don't see a ghost; they suddenly catch the scent of burning tobacco or freshly baked apple pie, or feel a sudden drop in temperature right before they notice the shadowy apparition behind them.

Description: Meet in front of Raynham Hall at 3:20; leave at 3:30. The beautiful hamlet of Oyster Bay was home to Theodore Roosevelt and, if you watched Turn on AMC, you will surely recognize the name Robert Townsend, who was an important member of the Culper Spy Ring. While walking we will visit several historically significant and beautiful places within Oyster Bay, with a little narrative by me. 5:30 dinner at Taby's, which has vegetarian options. If you prefer there are many other nearby restaurants on Audrey Avenue. The walk is 1.5 mi. with two short hills at the very beginning.

> 7:00 Raynham Hall Spirits Tour has a strong reputation as being one of the most haunted places on Long Island and we will have two tour guides (one of whom is a medium) for this tour. In addition to learning of Raynham Hall's fascinating history during the Rev. War, we will hear (and hopefully experience) ghostly encounters. People have reported sudden cold spots, along with phantom footsteps (hikers maybe?) and unexplained screams.

Directions: Seaford Oyster Bay Expresswsy (route 135) to exit 8 go east about 100 yards and turn left at the sign for the park. We will meet at WestBrook Sports Complex and follow the Green belt along Westbrook pond to the catwalk under Sunrise Hwy into Connetquot River State Park Preserve . We will stop at the hatchery for restroom break. Heavy rain will cancel 5 mile "c" hike

Directions: to Westbrook
Eastbound: Southern State parkway to exit 45; or Sunrise Highway to exit 46 South (Heckscher parkway/Southern State) to; Montauk highway(27A)East; through traffic signal then approximately 1/2 mile to bridge; entrance to access road is after crossing the bridge at the bottom on left. (will see baseball fields on left after turn.)
Westbound: Sunrise Highway to Sunrise Hwy service road at Islp Terrace/North great River (just past the "Oakdale Merge.") Stay on service road to Heckscher Pkwy (Southern State) Southbound; take Heckscher Pkwy to exit 45 eastbound (Montauk Hwy, Rte 27a) east as above to Westbrook
