Sunday, March 15-Belmont Lake State Park- B+ hike 6-7 miles. Flat. Meet at the park house near the bathrooms at 9:50 am for a 10:00 departure.
Let’s take a brisk walk around the trail at Belmont Lake State Park, then under the overpass to Southards Pond. Hiking boots/ shoes are recommended as the trail may be muddy. Bring water, a snack and a smile.
Call or text Lorna at (516) 987-3083. Rain, ice or snow cancels. Take the Southern State Parkway to exit 38 for Belmont Lake State Park. Check for State Park fees, or use your Empire Pass. Empire Passes are available at most libraries.
