Bike Ride Wednesday April 29th from Cedar Creek Park to Jones Beach Nature Center
We will glide along the paved Wantagh Parkway Bike path from Cedar Creek Park then take in the salt air on the Jones Beach boardwalk. On the boardwalk, we will continue west to the Nature Center where we will have our picnic lunches before our return trip.
We will encounter two scenic bridge overpasses on the Wantagh Bike Path. To keep everyone safe, and enjoy the views, we will dismount and walk our bikes across these two sections.
Meet at: 10:15
Be ready to roll at 10:30 am
Meeting Place: Cedar Creek Park near the statue entrance to the bikepath. (no fee for parking or entrance)
Helmets are mandatory.
Distance: 15 miles round trip. Flat paved surface
Liesurely pace 8-10 mph
Bring: lunch, sunscreen, bike lock. helmet
