Slowing Down with Nature: A Forest Therapy Walk and Immersion Workshop

Details

Connect with nature and nourish your mind, body, and soul during this day of conscious slowing down. We will begin our day with a Forest Bathing Walk with Rachael, our certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide. We embark on a shared, guided journey through the serene forest trails, surrounding ourselves with Nature and allowing the invitations to slow down and BE. Whether you seek stress relief, self-exploration, or simply wish to immerse yourself in nature, this experience offers a perfect blend of mindfulness and wellness.

During the morning session, we will practice Shinrin-Yoku, also known as Forest Bathing, a Japanese therapeutic technique that involves immersing oneself in the forest atmosphere. We will offer invitations to engage our senses and embody our experience in the More-Than-Human world. The Forest Therapy Walk will be from 9:30 to Noon.

We will pause at noon for a lunch break. Please bring a packed lunch. We will provide coffee and cold drinks (water and seltzer). You can choose to picnic alone or join us in a circle of new friends for our lunch break.

For the afternoon session, beginning at 1:00 pm, we will join Nic Port for an indoor plant immersion workshop. Nic advocates for the healing and connection offered by indoor plants of all types and temperaments. Nic's philosophy is based on devoted attention to the life-seeking systems of plants, how they recover and thrive, connect and integrate, and how they can share this intuitively with us. We will slow down, devote our attention, listen deeply, and receive openly during our immersive indoor plant workshop with Nic.

This event is designed to promote healthy living, self-empowerment, and spiritual connection. Join us for a transformative experience that will leave you feeling refreshed and revitalized.
