Join us for an early fall sunset walk to enjoy some fall foliage, while observing the behaviors of the various critters that make Westmoreland Sanctuary their home.

Out stroll will be about 3 miles in length and we will walk through forest to a small lake, then a pond, up a ridge to see if we can spot any migrating raptors and then back through the forest to our meeting spot.

What to wear:
-Comfortable hiking footwear

  • Recommended: an extra layer for the cooler weather expected closer to the sunset

What to bring:
-Water
-Snacks
-Binoculars (recommended)
-Hand lens (optional)
-Field guides (optional)

Please consider a 3 to 5 donation to attend this event. Funds will be used to cover Meetup costs and for purchasing additional equipment such as binoculars to lend out to participants.

Children accompanied by a participating adult are welcome!Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed. Our goal is to observe wildlife, and pets can unintentionally disturb or scare away many of the animals we're hoping to see.

Whether you're an experienced naturalist or simply curious about the world around you, all are welcome! We’ll move at a relaxed pace and learn from whatever nature has to offer.
