- Visitor Day to Myriad Village (1 hr North near Malonton, MB)Darowany Road, Armstrong, MB
The 1st visitor day of 2024!
Saturday June 15th / 10 am - 5:30 pmThis event is an opportunity to come out and enjoy a day on the land owned by Myriad Village Marketing Co-op. Over 8 years we have been developing an Intentional community / Eco-village which has ample amounts of access to nature within the serene inter-lake of MB.
Our membership is based with 10 adults, some with kids, who all share the vision of 'Supporting those who honour the Earth.'
Being a marketing co-op, we represent different ways of working and living in accordance to the greater and more specific co-op values, and also the over-arching environmental ethics and practices such as not burning fossil fuels for recreation, composting and diverting waste naturally where we can, majority no-till gardening to increase the soil biomass, and generally working to heal and develop sustainable environments for us and future generations of humans and wildlife.
In a more human way, as a marketing co-op, we also benefit from collective website, social media, and visibility through vending/tabling at events. Some members are employees, some are self-employed, some are a bit of both. We are a 'myriad' or backgrounds/personalities/beliefs that make for diverse experience together. The monthly visitor days throughout the summer and fall at Myriad Village are great chances to get a free tour of the infrastructure, land, and have questions answered about structure of our co-op, and other eco-village things. Email myriadvillage@outlook.com to get on our Email List so you can be notified of any future events**

- Although the day consists of being outdoors for the majority.... So dress according to the weather..
- And note that it is tick season, so do a 'tick check' upon returning home.
- Upon entering the gate, there are some guidelines that include some precautions such as 'ponds are not swimming holes, dogs may bark at your car as you arrive as they will 'herd' you in but then are going to leave you alone, speed limit is 11 km/hr. etc)
How to donate:
Bring cash which is preferable and easier, although we also can receive e-transfer payments directly to those who are leading the given activities. It just gets complex if you attend multiple all by different people)
