What we’re about
Nashville Black Millennials (NBM) is an open social group with the purpose to help young and youngish blacks (ages 22-42) become acclimated in one of the fastest growing cities in the country, and to find a new local group of friends - in real life!
Our group is for existing Nashville natives AND new arrivals. If you are looking for new friends or to build your tribe, we are for you!

See all- Bad Axe ThrowingBad Axe Throwing Nashville, Nashville, TN
Oh, hey there! We're going axe throwing at the #1 rated spot in Nashville.
Home of the largest Axe throwing venue in TN, Bad Axe Throwing Nashville is the only axe bar in downtown, and the highest rated in Nashville. As such, this location boasts plenty of space downtown skyline views, custom designed torched woodwork, and multiple murals.
We're going on a Sunday afternoon to avoid crowds and for easier parking. We'll get into walk-in axe throwing for an 1 or 2-hours ($42/person max, paid upon arrival), followed by the foods 🍔 @ Blu Ox.
See you there!
- Social Hour @ Virgin Hotel RooftopThe Pool Club, Nashville, TN
A special edition of our Social Hour (Happy Hour) for a special cause!❤️
Join us at the rooftop The Pool Club @ Virgin Hotel for our May Social Hour. The Pool Club features an outstanding view of midtown, plenty of soft seating, and a beautiful wood-appointed interior. Not to mention a unique cocktail menu and poolside view 14 stories above Music Row.
This is still a normal happy hour vibe, but we'll have a SPECIAL GUEST organization joining us: Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Nashville.
CASA's mission is to organize and deploy volunteer advocates to speak up for abused and neglected children, helping judges, parents, and government organizations understand their needs, and help the children find safe and permanent homes. ⚖️
The problem is... 95% of the children CASA serves in Nashville are Black; Yet 95% of their volunteer advocates are white. At times this can lead to inefficiencies in connection, understanding, and outcomes between volunteers and advocates. More of us can be there for these children. Come learn more about CASA...
💿 And to pull the vibe together, we'll be serenaded by an endless stream of hip-hop and popular classics mixed and stitched by COACH 🎵😮💨.
Sooooo join us for this special Social Hour to connect with other regular Black folk from the area, take in sunny views, download a vibe, and learn about CASA!
Maybe you can volunteer or you know of someone else who can?!☀️💪🏾 They need it!
We'll see you soon ❤️

Join the NBM family as we donate 2 hours of our morning to support Middle Tennessee's Second Harvest Food Bank (SHFB) on June 15th from 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM.
Currently SHFB receives a lot of frozen food and produce items from various Nashville grocery stores and companies that could go to immediately feeding needy families and individuals. However, the food first needs to be checked and sorted for quality.
What we'll do:
- Sort frozen food donations
- Divide food into family-sized portions
- Identify and remove recalled foodsMost work will be done inside of a cooler environment (45-50 degrees). Jackets + gloves are provided but you can also dress in layers and/or bring your own.
