Catawba Trail Farm -- Educational Event

Details
Drop by Catawba Trail Farm for an engaging and hands-on experience learning how urban farms serve as vital solutions to climate change challenges, such as food insecurity, water scarcity, and biodiversity loss. Participants will hear about the farm’s mission and sustainable practices before rolling up their sleeves to assist with farm tasks from 8AM to 12PM. This event is a chance to deepen your understanding of climate-resilient food systems, support local food justice initiatives, and connect with others! Bathroom access and shaded, cool areas for resting are available on-site. The organization will also provide water coolers and snacks to keep participants refreshed throughout the event. Please wear appropriate attire for outdoor farm work, including closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing you don’t mind getting dirty!
