Express your opinion about new natural gas pipelines

Details

Running through Rockingham and Alamance counties, the Mountain Valley Pipeline Southgate Extension (MVP Southgate) has been controversial project for years. NC denied a water quality permit for the Southgate project in 2020, but a new proposal is back. The NC Division of Environmental Quality is collecting public opinion.

MVP Southgate threatens dozens of streams, wetlands, and drinking water sources in North Carolina. MVP has a well-documented track record of water pollution and environmental violations in Virginia and West Virginia.
