Stone Mountain Walk-Up Trail Endurance Walk
Details
Stone Mountain, located 16 miles east of Atlanta, Georgia, is the world's largest exposed mass of quartz monzonite (granite), featuring a 5-mile circumference and rising 825 feet above the surrounding terrain. Known for its massive, 3-acre Confederate carving on its north face, the mountain is a major recreational park containing hiking trails, a summit skyride, and a surrounding 3,200-acre park.
We will walk up Stone Mountain on the Walk-Up Trail 2-4 times for endurance training. Feel free to stop at any time depending on your fitness level. Each ascend is around 700 ft of altitude gain and 1 mile long and 1 mile back down. We will take a short break after each ascend and descend.
