What we’re about
Let’s Go, See, and Do! This group is for "Adults Only" who love to TRAVEL, mostly to other parts of Florida, and beyond. Some ideas include day trips, spending the day shopping in unique villages with lunch/dinner, antiquing, museums, historical venues, hiking (1x per month), flea markets, and more! What is “More”?! Overnight & weekend trips, Springs, State Parks, kayaking (now & then), festivals, scenic boat tours, space coast, etc. ... anything where we can enjoy time together, meet & make new friends, get out & enjoy the beautiful weather! :-D
This Group is NOT specifically a Hiking or an Outdoors group. The Group participates in Light Trail Walks, Leisure Walks, & Kayaking/Paddleboarding Now & Then, however, it is NOT geared towards frequent Nature Outdoor activities (such as backpacking, mountain climbing, wall climbing, heavy or long distance hiking, camping trips, etc.).
This group is generally capped around 50-60 members. On occasion, I will bend this to include many who want to join. 🙂. However, If a New person wants to join when we're at this limit, an Inactive Member will be released.
EXPECTATIONS OF EACH MEMBER:
> **MEMBER ATTENDANCE/PARTICIPATION. Participate in at least (1) activity WITHIN 2 MONTHS, THEN at least (2) activities WITHIN the NEXT 4 MONTHS, and (2) Every 6 months thereafter. This gives Each Member a chance to become involved in the Excursions & meet others! An **Attendance Reminder** will be Sent through Meetup reminding a Member to Attend if they have not in a particular period. **(2) NO-SHOWS and Member is Automatically RELEASED From Group!
> **IF YOU DON'T MEET THE ABOVE REQUIREMENT, YOU WILL BE RELEASED FROM THE GROUP. Each Member receives a "Heads Up" Message through Meetup approx. 1 month before their Release Date as a Reminder to Attend something ASAP. If Member does not Attend a scheduled Meetup or Make Contact w/me (the Group Organizer) after receiving this Message, then the Member will be Released on their 2-month Anniversary.
**CLOSE-UP PICTURE REQUIREMENT. Due to Security Purposes AND because it's Great to see what Members look like when they come to a Meetup :-D... EACH Member is Required to Have a VISIBLE & CLEAR Close-Up Picture of Themselves. If you Agree to this when joining, and you don't provide a VISIBLE & CLEAR Close-up Picture, you will be asked to do so within 24 hours of joining; If not met, you'll be Released. '-)
If after time in the group, you decide to CHANGE your Close-Up Picture to one that is Not a CLOSE-UP Picture, you will be asked to change it back ASAP, then Released if your picture has not changed within a short time of the Request. This is a Group Requirement.

ATTENDANCE OF GUEST. Because there are Members who need to fulfill Attendance Requirements in this Group, they have Priority over Guests. Guests are welcome to attend but will be added within 1 week prior to the Excursion. Please Encourage Your Guest(s) to become Members, ESPECIALLY after bringing them to several Meetups! :-)
