We are going to draw it in class... but if you want to make it - order the plans!!! Our drawing will not be dimensionally accurate...! See our PHOTO Section for the finished drawing of this great workbench.

We will have class at the Computer Lab of the Akron-Summit County Public Library - Main Branch in downtown Akron.

This Lab is located on the first floor - to the right from the Main Street Entrance... or down a couple of flights from the High Street Entrance. Ask someone for the Science and Technology Desk or the Computer Lab for our Woodworking Group.

PLEASE BRING A USB DRIVE to take home some goodies from class.

Tentative and Loose Class Schedule

1:00 PM - Intro - First... I will assess the SketchUp level of the members... and teach accordingly. Build and store some basic wood materials so that your can have the basics at home... like Oak, Maple, Poplar and Walnut Hardwoods... and 3/4" Oak, 3/4" Pine, and 12 Baltic Birch Plywood.

1:15 PM - SketchUp for Woodworking - draw the "Samurai Workbench"

2:50 PM - Wrap-up and discussion of future YouTube-like Woodworking Shop Tours (mine and yours), Future Events.

After class... those who are interested can go grab a beer. There's a variety of brew pubs downtown within walking distance.

There will be more of these classes for those who miss this one - but until Cleveland and Canton can get their facilities updated (Cleveland is waiting on approval to install SketchUp and Canton is stuck in VGA technology)... we will be in Akron.
