Houston’s largest African cultural celebration is back! The 12th Annual Houston AfriFEST is a vibrant showcase of African arts, food, music, and community that draws thousands of people from across the Greater Houston area. With over 4,000 people registered this year, this festival is a can’t-miss cultural experience for families, friends, and community members alike.
What to Expect:
- The Africa Zone – discover the diversity of the continent in one place
- Food from across Africa – enjoy dishes from Kenya, Senegal, Jamaica, Nigeria & more
- Main Stage Performances – Congolese folklore, Eritrean cultural dance, Nigerian drumming, Burundian music, South African Zulu dance, reggae, R&B, Afrobeats, jazz, and more
- African Market – shop local and international vendors
- Children’s Safari – fun activities for kids
- Community Vibes – connect with cultural groups, nonprofits, and neighbors
This year’s festival is proudly supported by an award from the Houston Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs and the Houston Arts Alliance.
