Necromantic Book & Movie Club - The Thing

Join us for an exciting The Thing themed horror book and movie club event at Necromantic!
For June, we are continuing our unique multimedia themed events by focusing on all things The Thing related in book and movie format … and the exciting part is you can choose to read/watch any of the listed items and we can still have a great discussion! It’s mix and match The Thing night!

So here is the list to choose from:

The books:

• John W Campbell’s short story “Frozen Hell". It's the expanded original that started it all in 1938. It was originally released as “Who Goes There” and this is version is longer with recently found additional text.

• “Short Things” a book of short stories based on the world of Who Goes There! It’s edited by John Betancourt.

• “The Things From Another World” a sequel to the original written by Betancourt.

The movies:

• Howard Hawk’s “The Thing From Another World” from 1951
• John Carpenter’s “The Thing” from 1982
• “The Thing” prequel sequel from 2010

Feel free to choose any, some or all of the above for an epic The Thing book/movie club event. Necromantic will be playing the The Thing movies on their screens during the event.
