About us

What if the people you disagree with aren't your enemy?

Neighbor Tables is a Better Together USA gathering for people who are tired of politics turning neighbors into stereotypes.

Conservatives, liberals, independents, moderates, non-voters and people who don't fit neatly into any political box are welcome here.

We come together around one table to talk about the issues shaping our communities and our country. Not to score points. Not to force agreement. Not to pretend our differences don't matter.

The goal is something more difficult and far more valuable: to understand how people reached their conclusions, identify where we share common ground and disagree without losing respect for one another.

You may hear an argument that challenges you. You may discover that someone you assumed you had nothing in common with actually shares many of your concerns. You may leave with the same opinion you walked in with...but a much better understanding of the person sitting across from you.

That matters.

Because America doesn't become stronger when everyone thinks alike. It becomes stronger when people with different experiences, priorities and political beliefs can still sit at the same table and solve problems together.

Neighbor Tables are structured conversations designed to keep discussions thoughtful, civil and genuinely interesting. Each gathering centers on a meaningful civic or community topic with clear discussion guidelines that make room for disagreement without allowing the conversation to become hostile or performative.

You don't need to be a political expert. You don't need to belong to a party. You don't even need to consider yourself political.

You only need curiosity, respect and a willingness to listen as seriously as you speak.

If you've ever thought, there has to be a better way for Americans to talk to each other...this table was made for you.

Pull up a chair. Bring your perspective. Meet your neighbors.
