GEAUGA COUNTY PANCAKE BREAKFAST FOLLOWED BY A HIKE AT THE BURTON WETLANDS NATURE PRESERVE
WHEN: Sunday, March 30, 2025 at 10:30 a.m.
WHAT: The snow has left and Spring has begun. We will visit Burton for our annual outing to partake in pancakes with real maple syrup. The all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast will consist to Pancakes (plain, applesauce and gluten-free); eggs; applesauce; milk (plain and chocolate); coffee and tea; and orange juice.
WHERE: The pancake breakfast will be held at The Century Village Museum (14653 East Park Street). Their phone number is (440) 834-1492.
To get there from the east side, take Chagrin Blvd. heading east. Go around Lander Circle and take Pinetree Road going East (State Route 87). Continue on State Route 87 as it becomes first South Woodland and then Kinsman Roads. After about 15 miles, one will enter the Burton Town Square. The pancake breakfast is at The Century Village Museum in The Bond Building (14653 East Park Street).
After breakfast, we’ll meet at the Welton's Gorge Preserve park entrance at 13973 Hale Rd, Burton, OH 44021 and then we’ll hike.
To get to Welton's Gorge Preserve from the breakfast, take East Park to Easter Center St (should be the right almost in front of the log cabin and Century Village). Turn right to Peckham Rd (about a half mile). Turn left onto Peckham and proceed about a half mile to Burton-Windsor Rd. Turn right onto Burton-Windsor and go 1 mile to Hale Rd. Turn left onto Hale. The park is about a half mile on the right.
