You must be 21+ to join this group. You must have an identifiable profile picture that shows your face and at least a first name/nickname - this is for safety. The group is private, nobody outside the group will have access to this information.
This group focuses on building a strong community of authentic individuals, who happen to also like geek stuff and are ethically non-monogamous. The focus of this group is NOT sex/dating (though, if it happens, that's cool), the focus is meeting like-minded people and enjoying each other's company. We value consent, respect, humor, quality conversation, and varied interests. We don't care if you're a swinger, polyamorous, non-monogamous, or whatever. We just care that you are a cool person who shares common interests, understands what is't like being non-mono, and aren't socially toxic. Making friends and meeting mates is about finding people you can be open and honest around. You shouldn't have to hide who you are just to be accepted.
We will treat all people as individuals. If you are part of a couple, throuple, etc, and want to join the group, every person must have their own profile and personality :).
Please read the following group rules carefully. Any violations will result in an immediate removal from the group:
1. Be kind and courteous - having your own unique opinions is awesome, we want people with different backgrounds and beliefs. But don't be a dick about it.
2. Don't be a creep - you should be able to tell if people are interested in you.
3. This group is for adults 21+ - sucks that you can't drink at 19 years old, but we can get in trouble if you do, so please rejoin once you come of age.
4. If you are an Ensign, you are only able to attend meetups for the entire group. If you are a Lieutenant or higher, you will be allowed to attend personal events at people's houses. If you have been given a personal address, you may NOT share this information with anyone under any curcumstance. Doing so will result in an immediate removal from the group.
This group is NOT for you if:
- Your only interest in this group is sex and/or romantic relationships.
- You don't have basic social skills; you make other people uncomfortable.
- You are violent and/or disrespectful.
- Your life revolves entirely around being non-monogamous or being a nerd.
- You only draft mono-red.
- You are overly political/religious/etc. and won't stop talking about your opinions/beliefs.
This group is for you if:
- You are any type of ethically non-monogamous (polyamorous, swinger, relational anarchist, open relationship, etc.) as your chosen lifestyle, regardless of your current partnership(s).
- You like nerd shit (board games, MTG, DnD, DnD's little bitch copy (aka Pathfinder), Nintendo, MCU, comic books, fantasy and sci-fi books or movies, etc.).
- You have interests past being non-monogamous and nerd shit (hobbies, a career, athletic activities, can hold a conversation about a variety of topics, etc.).
- You want to form friendships with people who understand these lifestyles.
- You have at least some emotional intelligence, and handle conflict gracefully without causing undue problems for the group (you ain't messy, unless it's in bed).
- You are comfortable and confident in who you are, and want to meet others who are also.
- You are respectful of other's choices and unique characteristics, even if you don't always agree.
