What we’re about
This group is for ladies in their 40's (plus or minus a few years is ok, ~37-55) looking for authentic friendships with some really cool yet nerdy women. Maybe the Nerdy 30's was great for a while but now life is just different, and so are the conversations and the company.
Some of us may be new to town, or maybe we're just realizing we need some more awesome, genuine friendships in our lives. You might be more inclined to enjoy some wine and a good book rather than go out. You might enjoy deep conversation over tea more than a night at a dance club. If this sounds like you, you might have hit the jackpot!
We try new restaurants, play games, watch movies, craft together, check out the arts and entertainment, explore the Denver area, and much more. Our events seldom have more than ~12 people, because small groups make for better conversations and connections. If you have ideas or would like to host an event, please message an organizer! Let's make this fun and keep it interesting.
Events take place throughout the Denver metro area, including the surrounding towns of Aurora, Lakewood, Englewood, Greenwood Village, Littleton, Centennial, Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree, Cherry Creek, Westminster, Arvada, and more.
Your Hobbies/Interests may include: NPR, Podcasts, knitting, crocheting, quilting, tea and coffee, thoughtful, engaging conversations, learning, cooking, gardening, books, post-graduate studies, exploring nature...
You may describe yourself as: introverted, funny, cerebral, unique, intelligent, fun-loving, genuine...
You might like: movies, food, teahouses, art, book clubs, crafting, game or trivia nights, other cool/nerdy ladies...
The only real "rule" is that you be accountable. Show up to events you RSVP for, or give your host a (timely) heads-up that your plans have changed. "No-shows" (i.e. not showing up at an event you've RSVP'd "YES" to) create extra work for our hosts, limit others from potentially participating in events, and are a disappointment to those who have spent their time and energy planning these events. To summarize: no-shows are a bummer and will not be tolerated (i.e. more than 2 "no-shows" could result in removal from the group). So, please be courteous, keep your RSVP's updated, and everyone is happy!

See all- Puzzled Pint - Orville PeckNeeds location
This event is cross-listed with Nerdy 30s.
Puzzled Pint is a casual, social puzzle solving event which happens at bars/pubs on the second Tuesday of every month, in cities around the world (https://puzzledpint.org).
These are puzzles that involve clues and deductions, not building puzzles. I think it is equally satisfying!Update: This is a free event, but if you can bring a dollar or two cash it would be great. The Puzzled Pint organizers are volunteers who print every packet at their own cost. Since we are regulars now and use quite a few packets it would be fantastic to contribute :)
Hannah is our event host this round - thanks Hannah!
Location: To Be Determined. The location is revealed through solving a puzzle the Friday before. I will solve it, update the location here, and message attendees.
On the night of the event, show up at the pub/brewery. The event starts at 6:30, but it is a good idea to leave time to grab drinks first and catch up for a minute. “Game Control” will be on hand to give hints and verify answers. It is a free event, with the expectation that you purchase something from our host venue. The organizers do accept donations to help cover their printing costs. Please keep your RSVP current - I have to let the organizers know how many will attend 24 hours in advance. RSVPs close the day before the event at 2pm. See you there!
