Network State Meetup: Zuzalu Recap

Welcome to the Singapore Network State Meetup!

This month’s Network State meetup will be a recap of Zuzalu, the 2 month long popup network state that was started by Vitalik in the Balkans.

The experiment was entirely community led, consisting of about 250 “permanent residents” and about 50-150 visitors per week, in a private location in Montenegro.

These people happened to be some of the smartest people in the world in blockchain protocols, zk-tech, longevity and biotech, DeSci, AI, network states and new countries/cities, rationality and philosophy, and overall generally very interesting people, who were co-located and cross-pollinating networks and knowledge at this mini city.

A few folks from the Singapore community were in attendance, and will share their experiences and learnings from Zuzalu!

SPEAKERS

Tom Howard
As the founder of network0.vc - Tom was in attendance for the Network States and Startup Cities portion, and to overall get involved in the meta coordination of Zuzalu. Tom will share his learnings and takeaways from the Zuzalu experiment, as they relate to Network States, expanding on this tweet thread.

Gavin
Gavin attended Zuzalu's tracks on Network States, AI x Crypto and Longevity. As the governance lead for VitaDAO, Gavin will share his experience particularly, amongst a highly aligned community with the moral imperative to reverse aging

Amber
Amber attended the 2nd half of Zuzalu, also took part in the network state hackathon. She will share her view on the overall residents experience, and her observance of Zuzalu vs the framework of network state and intentional co-living.
