Welcome to Neuro Inspire—a dedicated, founder-led social community created by and for independent Autistic and/or ADHD adults across Lower Hutt and the Wellington region.
Whether you are looking to expand your social circle, meet like-minded people who just get it, or build confidence navigating social spaces on your own terms, this group is built for you.

What We Are About

Socialising should not mean constantly masking, overthinking every interaction, or trying to fit into neurotypical expectations. Neuro Inspire is a space designed for authentic, low-pressure human connection.

• Real Connections: Meet people who understand the unique dynamics, everyday differences, triumphs, and subtle nuances that come with living with ADHD and Autism.
• Building Confidence & Social Skills: Gain social practice in a comfortable, non-judgmental environment where direct communication, hyperfixations, variable eye contact, and dropping the mask are fully welcomed.
• A Community Space: A place to talk about your week, share experiences, swap practical strategies, or simply hang out without the expectation to perform.

How We Operate

To ensure our meetups remain safe, empowering, and sustainable, Neuro Inspire operates on clear core boundaries:

• Founder-Led & Independent: All official events, schedules, and locations are organized and hosted directly by group leadership. This group is for independent adults (18+). We do not provide clinical care, supervision, personal caretaking, or support worker management. Members are expected to be fully independent in managing their own personal care and social interactions.
• Low Pressure: Participation is always optional. You are welcome to contribute as much or as little as you like, take sensory breaks whenever needed, or simply sit back and listen.
• Zero Drama & Mutual Respect: We maintain a respectful, welcoming, and grounded space. Respect for everyone's communication styles and boundaries is essential.

Group Culture & Conduct Rules

1. No Hot-Button Topics, Politics, or Ideologies
   We are here to take a break, connect, and chill out. This is strictly a neutral, drama-free space. Keep discussions about politics, religion, gender debates, and social hot topics out of our meetups and online spaces.
2. Zero Unsolicited Advice & "Backseat Driving"
   Neuro Inspire is founder-led. All operational decisions, group structures, and rules are set solely by leadership to protect the community's sustainability. We do not entertain unsolicited advice, purity tests, or lectures on how this space "should" be managed.
3. Respect the Boundaries (Zero Tolerance)
   We foster an environment of direct, low-pressure connection. Any member who engages in hostility, ideological badgering, or disrespectful behavior toward leaders or members will be removed instantly.
