Part two of our Philosophy & Science series will explore some of the common misconceptions of mainstream science.
Ideas such as Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, The Selfish Gene, and Darwinian Evolution have become so prevalent that we take for granted we understand them, but what we think they mean versus what they actually represent can be more different than we realise.
Key to the scientific approach is humility, to accept what we know and do not know and to seek the truth with objectivity and a deep desire to understand.

Renaissance magic taught of the interconnected nature of life. Beyond mere superstition, magic was the pursuit of the magi, the sage, in search of wisdom. An expression of wisdom in the manifested world is health, to know what is best for us and to avoid excesses.
The conclusion of our Philosophy & Science Series will explore the wisdom of Renaissance magic through the story and example of one figure, Paracelsus, who helps us to understand the power of healing. The objective is not to abandon modern medicine but to compliment it with a deeper understanding of the human being and the universe.
