Carl Gustav Jung revolutionised the way we look at the unconscious mind. Oneiric consciousness, or dream consciousness, what he describes in the collective unconscious all presents a compelling mystery of the Self.

What are dreams? Do they have a function? Can their meaning be interpreted or is their reality too subjective to mean anything to anyone other than the dreamer?

Beyond the amusements of bizarre symbols, the philosophy of understanding dreams opens us to the possibility of a deeper dimension to life; a mythical gateway to an archetypal world of the timeless. It is this invisible space which we must connect with if we are to unravel the enigma of our own lives.

This talk will explore the traditional understanding of dreams and symbolism with a focus on Jungian principles and an emphasis on practical teachings.
