Synopsis: Kenji Koiso is a 17-year-old math genius who is invited by his crush Natsuki Shinohara on a summer trip. Shortly after arriving at Natsuki's family's estate, which is preparing for her great-grandmother's 90th birthday, he receives a strange, coded message on his cell phone. Kenji becomes entangled in a cyber attack on OZ, the virtual reality world that underpins society, and must unite with his newfound connections to prevent a global crisis. Against a backdrop of stunning countryside vistas and virtual spaces bursting with color, Summer Wars is a timeless epic that explores life in the digital age from Academy Award-nominated director Mamoru Hosoda (the director of most of "Digimon: the Movie").
