WALK ON THE ISLE OF WIGHT - RYDE TO BINSTEAD

We will meet outside the Ryde Hoverport (just to right of the main entrance and in front of the old Ryde Arena, PO33 2HB). Walk will start at 11.15am (should allow car drivers to find affordable on street parking. If staying for a meal afterwards allow 5-6hrs). This is an undulating circular walk of approximately 4 miles with short snack stop and walk (details to follow). Please dress for the weather, stout shoes should be adequate, have clothing to give some protection come rain or shine. Have a bottle of water and snacks for the walk and short lunch stop. We may finish with a meal at the end if people would like to do that.
Getting to the Isle:
Rachael's wagon (3 places on first cum basis) via car ferry
Wightlink Catamaran from Portsmouth Harbour Train Station.
Hoverspeed Hovercraft from Southsea Beach (next to Clarance Pier)
Train through ticket from mainland stations to Ryde Hoverport (includes Hoverbus from Portsmouth & Southsea train station return from Havant, maybe less with railcard - usually no problem getting on a particular trip, but can be busy in holidays)
Administration:
As usual with NBHT no event fee unless you haven’t paid your one off
joining fee of £3. You can pay cash on the day or arrange bacs payment with Rachael. My number on the day only is 07549 177374.
