About us

Welcome to the Social New England Activity Meetup Group.

Our goal is to create memorable events that may or not include day hikes, festivals, dancing, travel, meals, and a variety of other activities and to experience fun-filled events together.

Look out for a theme associated with the conclusion of each hike like local ice cream or draft beer pub excursions, as well as events and activities that center around local festivals, culture, and (mostly) healthy activities.

Morning Hike at Massabesic Audubon (short notice)

Distance: 3.5 to 4 miles
Elevation gain: negligible
We’ll meet at the Massabesic Audubon Center in Auburn, NH at 9:15 AM and start hiking by 9:30. We will be hiking mostly on fire roads and level trails along the lake shore. Bring water and snacks. We will make our way out to Battery Point and return to the parking lot by around noon or so, followed by lunch and/or ice cream at the Goldenrod restaurant for anyone who is interested.
NOTE: The Audubon Center opens at 11AM, so bathrooms will be available after the hike, but not before.
NOTE: Audubon does not allow dogs so you will have to leave them at home.
PLEASE, NO GUESTS. If you want to bring a guest, they will have to join this meetup group first
