This is a group for anyone interested in hiking, mountain climbing, camping, and other outdoor activities. We hold events primarily in New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut and New York.
To join the club a clear photo of yourself is required.

Take Escoheag Hill rd. from Rt. 165 and follow it for 6 miles, at some point Escoheag Hill Rd. turns into Hazard Rd. Look for the sign for the parking lot of the preserve on your right.

Hunter Orange will not be required for this hike!
We will be hiking through forest and field, and around the pond. This hike is not particularly difficult but I gave it a 2 1/2 level for distance and steady pace, with stops as necessary.
Please be prepared with good hiking boots, extra water for hydration and protection from ticks and the disease they carry. Always bring that magnetic personality, along with your charm and wit, and be prepared to use them. - Hike Mount Monadnock in NHMonadnock State Park Headquarters, Jaffrey, NH

We're going to do a 4.0 mile out and back starting at the Monadnock Park Headquarters parking lot. We'll take the White Dot Trail to the summit of Mt Monadnock. Then retrace our steps on the White Dot Trail back to the parking lot to finish the hike.
Important! Order a parking pass ahead of time via the Monadnock State Park website to guarantee a parking spot the day of the hike. The lot is medium sized but can fill up on nice days or weekends.

Daytime highs are expected to be in the low-60's at ground level. Expect temperatures in the 40's early in the day and higher up in elevation.
Required Clothing/Misc: Full wind/rain shell, wicking base layer (optional), mid-layer, warm jacket, gloves/mittens, gaiters (optional), face mask/balaclava (optional), warm hat, water bottles (insulated recommended), sleeping/bivy bag for emergencies (optional), trail map (print via link above), headlamps with spare lithium batteries (lithium for the cold, alkaline are no good at cold temperatures), extra socks. Emergency hand warmers are strongly recommended.
Bring 2-3 liters of water minimum as well as energy food. Eat a good breakfast for stored energy. Drink plenty of water before the hike.
Light traction: Kahtoola Microspikes, Hillsound Trail Crampons or similar.
Traction devices are not required. Ice will likely not be present higher up at this point.You should know how to use all of your equipment - test and adjust it prior to this trip.
No guests or dogs allowed (except for service animals).
