New Forest Christmas Walk & Lunch – A Gentle Gathering to End the Year Together
Details
Hello,
How about we round off the year with something simple, meaningful and full of heart?
A gentle winter wander through some of the most magical corners of the New Forest, followed by a warm and welcoming Christmas lunch together at The Heath Pub.
This isn’t just a walk or a meal; it’s a chance to pause, reconnect, and share time with kind people in a season that often asks us to slow down and remember what really matters—nature, community, and one another.
***
### About the Walk
- Distance: Around 6 miles
- Terrain: Woodland tracks, gentle heathland paths, and perhaps a sprinkle of forest mud
- Duration: 2.5–3 hours at a relaxed, friendly pace
- Midway Pause: A peaceful stop for about 10–15 minutes to rest, enjoy a snack, and soak in the views
- Wildlife: If we’re lucky—ponies, deer, birdlife, and the quiet magic of ancient trees and towering redwoods
There’s no rush, no pressure, and no need to be anything other than yourself. Everyone is warmly welcome.

### Why We Do This
These walks have become something far more meaningful than I ever imagined. People arrive as strangers and leave lighter, happier, and more connected—with nature, with each other, and with themselves. The kindness shared, the conversations, the quiet moments—it all matters.
New Forest Wellbeing CIC is a not-for-profit. Every penny after costs is put straight back into creating more community-led wellbeing experiences. This is for the community, not for profit. I don’t take a wage. It’s about kindness, connection, and supporting mental health in a gentle, human way.
If money is a barrier and you're currently not working or things are difficult, please message me privately. No one is left behind.

### Something Special Is Happening Here
Together, we’re building a space where people feel seen, heard, and welcomed. Where loneliness softens, conversations flow easily, and nature reminds us that we belong. These gatherings are changing lives—quietly, kindly, and beautifully—and you are part of that.
I’d love to share this Christmas walk and meal with you.
With warmth,
Mark
