New forest Walk From Bolderwood and so much more...
Details
This walk is one of those New Forest routes that stays with you.
A 6-mile circular right in the heart of the forest, following the gentle bends of Highland Water through ancient woodland, then climbing up to Acres Down for wide, open views across the treetops and beyond. It feels peaceful, grounding, and quietly uplifting, especially when shared with good people.
There’s free parking at the start point, so it’s simple and accessible; you can just book, turn up and enjoy.
### A little about the walk
Distance: around 6 miles (circular)
Terrain: woodland tracks and forest paths
Time: around 3 hours at a gentle pace
Midway pause: 10 minutes to rest, snack, and take in the view
We walk in a calm, friendly way. No pressure to talk, and no pressure to be quiet either. Just space to breathe, connect, and feel a little more like yourself again.
If you’re coming along, feel free to comment with a quick hello, it often helps people feel less nervous about turning up for the first time.

### Why we do this
I’m the founder of New Forest Wellbeing CIC, a not-for-profit community interest company. We keep events priced as low as we can, with small proceeds after costs going straight back into creating more nature-based wellbeing experiences for the community.
I don’t take a wage from this. I run it out of kindness and purpose, because connection, mental health, and belonging matter.

Something special is happening in this community. The conversations, the quiet moments, the laughter, the friendships that keep growing long after the walk ends. If you’ve been meaning to get out into the forest with good people, this is a lovely one to start with.
With warmth,
Mark
